Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, said, “Our charity must be in our hearts and from our hearts.” Making a planned gift is a heartfelt, easy, and wise way to show your support and appreciation for a Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School education while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. Gifts of all types and sizes combine to help meet the School’s current and future goals.
By including Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in your will, naming the school as a beneficiary designation of retirement assets, or taking advantage of other planned giving opportunities today, you can preserve your assets now, receive tax benefits in return, and educate, inspire, and empower young women rooted in mercy values who will make a difference in the world.
Request a confidential, no-obligation conversation to get started.
When you make a gift or indicate your intention to make a gift of any amount to Gwynedd Mercy from your will/trust or as a beneficiary designation of retirement assets/life insurance policy, you will be welcomed into Catherine McAuley Legacy Society. Named for the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, the Society honors individuals of all ages who ensure Gwynedd Mercy will educate, inspire, and empower young women today and for generations to come. Is Gwynedd Mercy already in your plans? Please let us know so we can properly thank you and make sure your gift will be used as you've intended.
Established in 2013 and named in honor of the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, the Catherine McAuley Legacy Society honors alumnae, parents and friends who secure Gwynedd’s future through legacy gifts simply by naming Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in their will, trust, or other estate plans. Donors of all income levels are represented, and new members are always welcome. Please contact Colleen Belz Frascatore '89, Director of Advancement, at 267-946-0948 to learn more.

Not only do you have options for how your gift to Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School will be used, you also have options on what to give and how to give. There are gifts that cost you nothing now, and gifts that allow you to decide what happens when.
Through a provision in your written and executed will, you can make a gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property. There are many types of bequests. Choose the one that best fits your needs and intentions.
If you're 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Gwynedd Mercy. While there is no charitable deduction for a rollover gift, you do avoid the income tax on the donated portion of your required minimum distribution.
Naming Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan or other donor-advised funds, will accomplish a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings.
Designate Gwynedd Mercy as a beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the balance of your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) through your fund administrator. You also can make a grant to us at any time from your donor-advised fund.
When you donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares instead of cash, you'll receive charitable deductions at full, fair market value while reducing capital gains impact.
